Jul 19, 2011 - Yes, you are correct. However, in fact, as this clip proves, this is Angela Denning singing the role of Marguerite de Valois. Lucy Peacock sings the role of Valentine de Saint-Bris in the same production. I own a DVD of this Opera and the oversight is simply obvious. I'm sure MBWoland did not intend to make this mistake. And, I hope it will be corrected soon for the sake of the artists and public.

Feb 5, 2012 - You should better post the duo Raoul Valentine, it's much more interesting and beautifully sung specially by Rick Leech absolutely fabulous in this part! As for the production it's a trash german way of staging opera, that's enough!
