Apr 2, 2010 - Hahaha! Thankfully you explained this simple fact to people who still have the bad habit of saying Sutherland has bad diction in every recording of hers. I wonder how people who can't distinguish French from Italian feel themselves able to comment about other peoples' diction. Perhaps it's just that they heard that and want people to think "Wow they understand those languages!". It's a shame that thus they criticize someone because they were told so and not because of their own conclusions.

Be aware that in your entire life span you will, in all probability, never ever again hear a voice the equal of this one. Even if you don't like her, know that this is not mediocre music making. So I suggest that you go back & listen very carefully & try to hear what the music world has been raving about for half a century.
