Aug 28, 2010 - The big problem with errant doctrine often begins with decision theology. If someone can't accept that they didn't make a decision for Christ, they can't accept infant baptism, because they don't hold to the 2nd chapter of Acts promise. We can't truly accept grace, or the sacraments if we believe one must be good enough, or old enough to chose. Scripture doesn't speak of an age of accountability? Lazarus was dead and was given life through the Word. The life giving Word is in baptism as well.

Aug 29, 2010 - Thanks for mentioning the "Dare to Read" booklet in your latest video. It just printed out copies for all the students at the Lutheran Seminary in Yambio, Sudan. I will go there tomorrow to teach Lutheran Confessions, specifically the AC, Apology, LC, and a couple points on the FOC. This will be one of the last courses before these men graduate and are sent out to serve in the Lord's Harvest. Please keep all this and my family who will be without dad for some time.

Aug 30, 2010 - Great WE! My family enjoyed it. My 18 month old daughter couldn't take her eyes off of the video. For me, you've articulated something that I've had to do concerning non-Lutheran friends. I learned about most other denominations, while in college, and I always kept going back to our Lutheran body and heritage. For me, it was the weekly "Lunch with Luther" on Sundays after church that helped me learn more about the BoC. Great video!

Sep 19, 2010 - My Brother, this video on the confessions absolutely rocked! As a former licensed Baptist youth minister who has been a confessional Lutheran since 1995, I really appreciated it and it brought back memories of my own journey. Grace and Peace to you. Randy

Sep 21, 2010 - Great video. You mention a link to a booklet on using the confessions, but I don't see it here. Can you post it again? Keep up the great work.

Sep 21, 2010 - On the video's main page, under it should be the words "more info." Click on that, or scroll down in the box, and you'll always see links from the video.

Oct 24, 2010 - - I am with you! I grew up in a non-denom pentecostal church -which taught me to 'dedicate' my children. When I found the reformation and the LCMS, I had my kids baptised INTO the faith, which actually DID something! Now the Book of Concord is a staple not in place of God's word...but BECAUSE it teaches and confesses God's word! As 7 year old Lutherans, now teaching youth, we find there is a BIG need to teach the confessions to innoculate the youth from this present age.

Oct 27, 2010 - You flash up C.S. Lewis and sorta mention something negative.Did Lewis have a specific criticism of Lutherism or the Book of Concord or are just mentioning that he was not a Lutheran. Very interested to hear more. Great video! Edumacate me!

Oct 28, 2010 - It's been so long I don't remember. It probably had something to do with his failure to include the Sacraments as essential for mere Christianity. I'm really a Lewis fan. Love his fiction. His theology has some real holes though: some neo-platonism, flirting with pergatory, and a skewy reading of Revelation. He was, however, Sacramental. He just didn't write about it much. But it's in his poetry!

Feb 25, 2011 - Revfiskj Question from a non-Protestant interested in the unique teachings of Lutheranism. I have heard that there is a growing number of people in the LCMS who reject the real presence. Apparently influenced by some Calvinistic teachings. How do you feel about that if the rumor is true?

Feb 23, 2012 - Great video! Your energetic and yet tightly focused defense of the Book of Concord should be seen by everyone. I can just imagine your mental turmoil as you first read it, from the way you described its effect on you, and I wonder what role her confidence in it played in your own considerations (it had to have been a good effect). May God bless you and your powerful messages to our world.
